(CercleFinance.com) - Engaged in the understanding of climate change and its impact on biodiversity for over 20 years, the Mont Blanc CREA (Research Center on ecosystems at Altitude) has, in partnership with Orange, been awarded by the United Nations at the COP 23 as part of its technological and human contribution, Orange announced via a press release on Monday morning.
As the 2017 Winners of the prize called Momentum For Change, both partners will be present in Bonn (Germany), host of the COP 23, to receive the prize and present the CLIMB initiative (Climate Change Impacts on Mountain Biodiversity), a unique approach to follow up climate change in the mountains, which combines technology and dialogue between science and society.
CLIMB (Climate Change Impacts on Mountain Biodiversity) is intended to collect data on climate, species and landscapes. Such data is essential for the scientific analysis of environmental changes that are occurring, which is then communicated to citizens and decision-makers alike.
