Renault: heavy losses in H1
(CercleFinance.com) - Renault has posted a net loss of -7,386 million euros for the first six months of 2020, penalised by Nissan's contribution (-4,817 million euros), and an operating loss of -1,203 million euros, with the negative impact of the health crisis estimated at around 1.
8 billion euros.
The car maker's interim sales fell 34.9% to 18,425 million euros (-32.9% LFL), with sales falling 34.9% to 1.26 million units (in a global market that is down 28.3%).
Given the uncertainties surrounding the health crisis - both in Europe and in emerging markets - Renault says that it is not in a position to give a reliable guidance for the year.
