Renault: introduces hydrogen in utility vehicles

(CercleFinance.com) - Renault has announced that it will expand the use of its electric utility vehicles thanks to hydrogen technology that it has developed since 2014 in partnership with Symbio, a subsidiary of the Michelin tyre group.

At the end of 2019 it will market the Renault Kangoo Z.E. Hydrogen and in H1 2020 it will introduce the Renault Master Z.E. Hydrogen, which will work with a fuel cell combining hydrogen tanks with oxygen from the air to produce electricity.

"The hydrogen fuel cell provides the additional energy for up to 3 times more range than 100% electric vehicles with a charging time of only 5 to 10 minutes," the group said.
