Renault: agreement in electric vehicles in China
(CercleFinance.com) - Renault and JMCG have announced signing an agreement in the electric vehicle sector on the fast-growing Chinese market, which currently represents half of the global market for electric vehicles.
Through this agreement, Renault will take a significant stake in JMEV, a subsidiary of JMCG and one of the main players in electric vehicles in China. Renault will thus expand its local offer and strengthen its presence in China.
Located in Nanchang (Jiangxi Province), JMEV produced and sold 38,000 electric cars in 2017. Thanks to the strong growth of new energy vehicles in China, it plans to sell 50,000 electric cars in 2018.
