Renault: will Michelin boss succeed Carlos Ghosn?

(CercleFinance.com) - According to information published by Le Figaro newspaper this morning, the chairman of Michelin, Jean-Dominique Senard, could become the next head of Renault, if Carlos Ghosn, indicted and imprisoned in Japan, were to leave office.


This solution would in particular have the State's backing, which is a 15%-shareholder in the group. Still according to Le Figaro, Thierry Bolloré would remain CEO, a position that he has held - albeit temporarily - since the end of November.

Officially, Renault is not considering a successor to Carlos Ghosn. However, group shareholders are aware that this situation will not be sustainable for too long...
