Renault: Carlos Ghosn also replaced at Mitsubishi
(CercleFinance.com) - Mitsubishi, a member of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, announced on Monday that its board of directors has decided to appoint Osamu Masuko as chairman and CEO, replacing Carlos Ghosn.
The Japanese car maker considered that Carlos Ghosn has lost Nissan's trust under the Alliance, and that it was difficult for Mr. Ghosn to continue his duties at Mitsubishi.
Effective immediately, the appointment of Osamu Masuko as Chairman and CEO is - at least - temporary. The subject will be discussed again at the next shareholder general meeting.
