Renault: downturn in net income with Nissan contribution
(CercleFinance.com) - Renault posts net income down 16.
3% to 2,040 million euros for the first half of 2018, a downturn which can be explained by the minor contribution by Nissan, which had benefited from a gain on disposal.
The automaker's operating margin comes to 6.4% (6.6% outside IFRS 15 impact) for a turnover up 1.4% to 29,957 million euros (+6.8% at constant scope and exchange rates) and car registrations up 9.8% to 2.07 million.
In a global market that is growing 3% in 2018, Renault confirms its objectives of increasing its organic turnover, maintaining operating margins over 6% and generating positive free operating cash-flow.
