Eramet: 16% increase in net income in 1st quarter
(CercleFinance.com) - Eramet posts a growth in the group share of net income of 16% to 94 million euros, and current operating income up 15% to 294 million for the first half of the year, with contrasting operating performance depending on the business unit.
The mining and metallurgy group's turnover, at 1,813 million euros, is up 1% compared to the same period in 2017, but at constant scope and exchange rates, the variation is approximately 11%.
Although it considers that its markets continue to be properly focused globally in this start to the second half-year, with the exception of certain sectors of the alloys business, Eramet considers visibility limited in a context of ongoing tensions in international commercial relations.
