BNP Paribas: capital requirements notified by the ECB
(CercleFinance.com) - BNP Paribas announces that it has received notification from the ECB of the results of the Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process (SREP) 2020 which says that last year's capital requirements (on a consolidated basis) remain in force for the Group.
The Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) capital requirement that BNP Paribas must comply with on a consolidated basis from 1 January 2021 is 9.23% (excluding Pillar 2 guidance), while the Tier 1 capital requirement is 10.96% and the Total capital requirement is 13.28%.
The banking group says that it is well above regulatory requirements, with a CET1 ratio of 12.6%, a Tier 1 ratio of 14.1% and a Total Capital ratio of 16.3%, as at 30 September.
