BNP Paribas: 2019 earnings up 8.6%
(CercleFinance.com) - BNP Paribas has reported 2019 earnings of 8,173 million euros, up 8.
6% (up 4.7% excluding exceptional items), with EBITDA of 13,260 million euros, up 11.2% for its operating divisions.
At 44.6 billion euros, net banking income increased by 5.9% in the operating divisions (up 0.8% in Domestic Markets, up 6.9% in International Financial Services and up 11.6% in CIB). Sound cost control enabled for a positive scissor effect of 2.4 points.
Its Board of Directors will propose a dividend of 3.10 euros per share (up 2.6%) at the AGM, payable in cash, meaning a distribution rate of 50%, in accordance with the group's plan. BNP Paribas expects to fully benefit from the effect of its transformation plan in 2020.
