BNP Paribas: Q2 net income flat
(CercleFinance.com) - BNP Paribas has published Q2 2018 net income, group share that is stable at 2,393 million euros (+0.
7% excluding extraordinary items), with EBITDA that is down 0.7% at 3,838 million euros. (-1.7% for operational divisions).
At 11,206 million, net banking income rose by 2.5%. In the group's operating divisions, it rose 1%, with a slight decline in domestic markets (-0.3%), a significant increase in international financial services (+8.7%), although a decrease in CIB.
The group explains that its business is seeing strong development, with a backdrop of economic growth in Europe, although that its results recorded an unfavourable FX impact, as well as the impact of weaker financial markets for CIB than a year ago.
