BNP Paribas: finalises acquisition of Compte-Nickel.
(CercleFinance.com) - After trading on Wednesday BNP Paribas announced the acquisition of Financière des Payments Electroniques - Compte-Nickel.
The partnership with the Confédération des Buralistes de France has been renewed for a period of 10 years.
As a reminder, a memorandum of understanding was signed to this effect on 4 April and the first French bank has since obtained regulatory approvals to buy 89.1% of Compte-Nickel.
It plans to increase its stake to 95% before the end of the year, with the Confédération des Buralistes de France to remain a shareholder of the remaining 5%.
