Société Générale: Deutsche Bank raises target price
(CercleFinance.com) - Deutsche Bank is maintaining its "hold" rating on the Société Générale share, before the French banking group announces its Q2 results on 2 August, while nudging up its target price to 18.
5 euros vs. 18 euros.
In a research note, the broker explains that it expects the bulk of the crisis to be felt in Q2 net banking income - mainly in retail banking and equity trading.
However, Deutsche Bank says that it expects SocGen to resume dividend payments this year, paying 2.2 euros per share, equivalent to the 2019 payout that had to be abandoned.
The broker also expects the French bank to then pay 50% of its profits to shareholders for FY 2021 and 2022.
