Dassault Systèmes: Medidata acquisition approved at EGM
(CercleFinance.com) - Dassault Systèmes announces the approval, by Medidata Solutions shareholders, at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on 16 August, of its proposed acquisition of Medidata.
Under the terms of the agreement, Dassault Systèmes will acquire this digital specialist in life sciences at a price of 92.25 dollars per Medidata share, meaning an enterprise value of approximately 5.8 billion dollars.
The acquisition is expected to be completed in the third or fourth quarter of 2019 and is subject to approval by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, along with other customary closing conditions.
