Dassault Systèmes: acquisition of Exa in the US.
(CercleFinance.com) - Dassault Systèmes has announced signing a definitive agreement for the acquisition of Exa, presented as a global innovator in simulation software for product engineering, which is based in Burlington, in the State of Massachusetts.
According to this agreement, which was unanimously approved by Exa's board of directors, a subsidiary of the French group will launch an offer within the next 10 working days to acquire all the shares of the target company at a price of 24.25 dollars, paid for in cash.
Dassault Systèmes specified that this price represents an equity value of around 400 million dollars, with Exa reporting revenues of 72 million dollars over its last fiscal year ended 31 January 2017.
