Publicis: boosted by growth and forecasts
(CercleFinance.com) - The Publicis share is up over 5% this morning on the Paris Stock Exchange after its publication of annual accounts which showed a steady acceleration in organic growth.
Over the year, the group's operating result is down 0.7% at 1.5 billion euros, meaning a margin of 15.5%, down about 10 basis points, although up 40 points at constant restructuring costs. Finally, net income, group share, came in at 862 million euros, against a loss of 527 million euros in 2016.
On a current and diluted basis, Publicis' EPS reaches 4.5 euros (+0.9%). At its forthcoming AGM the group will offer to pay a 2017 dividend of two euros, 8.1% higher than in 2016.
Offering to raise the dividend by 8.1%, without giving figures for the moment, management also believes that both growth and its margin will improve in 2018.
