Eiffage: finishes building gigafactory
(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage is building ACC's first electric battery gigafactory in Douvrin.
This future gigafactory, dedicated to the production of battery cells and modules for electric vehicles, is located near the PSA site in the Artois-Flandres Industrial Park, in Douvrin/Billy-Berclau in the Hauts-de-France region.
The work cost nearly 75 million euros, of which 48.7 million euros is being provided by Eiffage.
The gigafactory, which should be the first plant of its kind to be commissioned in France in April 2023, will have an annual production capacity of 8 GWh.
