Eiffage: Stifel's still on hold

(CercleFinance.com) - The group will publish its Q1 2022 sales today after trading.

Analysts at Stifel expect 5.8% sales growth to 4,203 million euros.

The broker expects the business to have remained resilient, while French construction has the potential to recover.

We believe there are better picks in the sector in the short-to-medium term the broker points out. In particular, Ferrovial (Buy, TP E22.98) and Vinci (Buy, TP E89.34) appear to have better earnings momentum, given the continued impact of the financial crisis on the construction sector, Stifel says.

However, Eiffage remains a stable and relatively low risk option in the context of a global slowdown.

Stifel confirms its Hold recommendation on the Eiffage stock with a target price of 104 euros (current price: 93 euros).
