This major project, called Campanario, is expected to be completed in the summer of 2021.
Located on a 40-hectare site in the municipality of Bonete, the five plants will each produce 50 MW (for a total capacity of 250 MW).
The work will also include the installation of a 3.4 km high-voltage line to evacuate the energy produced by the five power stations, Eiffage said.
