Eiffage: contract for Saint-Nazaire wind farm
(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage announces that, in a consortium with DEME, it has won the contract for the design, manufacture and installation of the 80 steel monopile foundations of the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm, for total of over 500 million euros.
This 480 MW wind farm, owned by EDF Renouvelables and Enbridge, will be located between 12 and 20 km off the Guérande peninsula. It will produce electricity for the equivalent of 20% of the consumption needs of the region Loire-Atlantique.
The design phase of the operation has already begun for a spring 2020 start to manufacturing. The first installations, on a rocky seabed, will take place in the spring of 2021 and end in early summer 2022.
