Rémy Cointreau: profitability improves in 2016-17.

(CercleFinance.com) - Rémy Cointreau has reported 2016-17 net profit, group share, that is up 85.
7% at 190.3 million, with a 26.7% increase in current operating profit to 226.1 million euros, meaning a 3.7-point improvement in the corresponding margin to 20.7%.

The group explains this improvement in profitability by “the excellent performance of our exceptional spirits and a controlled increase in communication investments and overheads.”

As of 31 March 2017, the group's revenues reached 1,094.9 million euros, up 4.2%. On an organic basis (at constant consolidation scope and exchange rates), growth was 4.7%, thanks to performance of the group's brands (+7.4%).

A dividend of 1.65 euro per share, up 3.1%, will be proposed at the general meeting of 25 July, with an option between payment in cash or shares for the entire dividend paid.
