(CercleFinance.com) - Lagardère is announcing the completion on 23 September 2021 of the acquisition of independent US publisher Workman Publishing by Hachette Livre's US subsidiary Hachette Book Group.
Workman Publishing mainly specialises in Children and Young Adult titles and Non-Fiction, with a focus on lifestyle publications such as cookbooks, parenting or gardening books.
A number of Workman Publishing's many bestsellers have been successfully adapted into television series, programmes and films, including Salute Your Shorts: Life at Summer Camp, 1,000 Places to See Before You Die and What to Expect When You're Expecting.
