Lagardère: finalises sale of magazine publishing titles
(CercleFinance.com) - Lagardère announces that it has finalised the sale of most of its magazine publishing titles in France, which include Elle and its variations, Version Femina, Art & Decoration, Télé 7 Jours and its various extensions, France Dimanche, Ici Paris and Public, to Czech Media Invest.
This sale, for a total of 52 million euros, is accompanied by the granting of an exclusive license for France on the Elle brand to Czech Media Invest. Lagardère remains the owner of this brand in France and abroad.
The transaction marks a decisive step in the group's strategic redeployment around Lagardère Publishing and Lagardère Travel Retail. The proceeds from all the recent disposals will be primarily reinvested in these two segments.
