Vivendi: finalises acquisition of Editis
(CercleFinance.com) - Today Vivendi has announced that it has finalised the acquisition of 100% of Editis' capital, the second largest French publishing group.
The agreement with the Spanish group Planeta was concluded on 15 November last year, based on an enterprise value of 900 million euros. The Competition Authority unconditionally cleared the deal on 2 January 2019.
This acquisition is part of the logic of building a large group of content, media and communication, Vivendi said.
Editis brings together nearly 50 prestigious publishing houses (Nathan, Robert Laffont, Julliard, Plon, Belfond, Presses de la Cité, Pocket, Solar, etc.).
