Vivendi: sharp rise in FY results
(CercleFinance.com) - Published after trading on Thursday, Vivendi's 2017 results included a 73.
9% leap in adjusted net income to 1.31 billion euros.
The conglomerate's Ebita and underlying operating profit respectively reached 987 million euros and 1.12 billion euros, up 36.4% (+23.1% like-for-like) and 30.9%.
Vivendi recorded revenues of 12.44 billion euros, up 15% and up 4.9% like-for-like relative to 2016.
Over Q4, revenues rose 23% to 3.82 billion euros, especially thanks to the consolidation of Havas, which contributed 626 million euros. Like-for-like growth reached 6.8%, thanks to growth of UMG (+8.2%) and a confirmed recovery at Canal+ (+5.7%).
