Casino: sets sale price of Assaí stake
(CercleFinance.com) - The food retail group today announced that it has completed the book building process for the secondary offering of Assaí shares, as announced on 14 March 2023.
Under the offering, 254 million Assaí shares held by Groupe Casino (including 2.3 million shares in the form of ADSs, each ADS consisting of 5 Assaí shares), representing 18.8% of Assaí's share capital, were allocated at a price of 16 BRL per share ($15.13 per ADS), for a total offering amount of 4,064.0 million BRL (E723.2m).
Settlement and delivery of the securities sold is scheduled for 21 March 2023.
Upon completion of the transaction, Groupe Casino will hold an 11.7% stake in Assaí.
