Casino: to sell Leader Price assets to Aldi France
(CercleFinance.com) - Casino has announced signing a unilateral purchase promise with Aldi France for the sale of three Leader Price warehouses and 567 stores in mainland France, for an enterprise value of 735 million euros.
By this agreement, Leader Price stores will benefit from Aldi France's commercial momentum. Casino will remain the owner of the Leader Price brand and will continue to use it, under certain conditions agreed with Aldi, in France and abroad.
The food retailer adds that this sale will be completed after consultation with the employee representative bodies and authorisation from the Competition Authority.
