Casino: progress in deal with Exito
(CercleFinance.com) - In an attempt to simplify its structure in Latin America, Casino has announced the positive recommendation from Éxito's audit and risk committee on Casino's offer to acquire Exito's 50% stake in Segisor.
The French food retailer has also acknowledged of the decision by Éxito's board of directors to convene an extraordinary general meeting, to approve the proposed acquisition.
This meeting will be held on 12 September at Éxito's headquarters in Envigado, Colombia. The operations of the simplification project remain subject to certain authorisations and must be approved by the governance bodies concerned.
