Vinci: London Gatwick profitable once again

01% owned subsidiary of Vinci Airports, today published its 2022 annual results.
The airport is back in the black, posting 2022 net profit of £196.5m, following losses of over £830m in 2020 and 2021. Operating profit (Ebitda) reached £446.3m.
Passenger demand reached 70.4% of pre-pandemic levels, with 32.8 million passengers passing through the airport in 2022.
Revenue of £776.6m was driven by a strong and steady recovery in passenger numbers throughout 2022. This includes aeronautical revenues (£405m), retail revenues (£159m) and parking revenues (£102m).
Despite returning to profit, the airport is only cautiously optimistic about a full recovery, given the current economic uncertainty and inflationary pressures.
