Vinci: wins contract worth around E255m in Sydney
(CercleFinance.com) - Seymour Whyte, Vinci Construction's Australian subsidiary, will build the central section of the new M12 motorway that will link the future Western Sydney International Airport (Nancy-Bird Walton) to the Sydney metropolitan area's motorway network.
This new route is expected to carry over 52,000 vehicles per day.
The contract, worth approximately A$373 million (E255m), includes the construction of 7.5 km of 2x2 lanes, 11 bridges, cycle and pedestrian paths, networks, intelligent transport systems (ITS) and green spaces.
Work is expected to start in mid-2022 and be completed by the end of 2025, before the opening of Western Sydney International Airport in 2026.
