Vinci: completes airport upgrade in Brazil
(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday, Vinci Airports, the concessions operator of Salvador Bahia airport in Brazil since January 2018, announces that it has delivered the extension and modernisation of the platform.
The airport's capacity will therefore be increased from 10 million to 15 million passengers per year, thanks to the extension of the terminal and the construction of a new jetty with six boarding bridges.
"The programme amounted to an investment of E160 million. The works were carried out in synergy with VINCI Energies and completed in just 18 months. Throughout the project, works were phased to accommodate optimum management of passenger flows and aircraft movements and thus maintain airport activity," Vinci said.
