Vinci: takes over Airports Worldwide portfolio
(CercleFinance.com) - Vinci has announced signing an agreement for the takeover of Airports Worldwide's portfolio covering three US platforms, including freehold (2), concessions (3), operating (4) and under partial management (3).
This transaction will enable Vinci Airports to expand its global network to 45 airports in eleven countries and on three continents. At present, 182.2 million passengers (+25.6 million) travel through its platforms each year.
Thanks to this acquisition, the group will get a foothold in the United States and therefore startup in the largest air market in the world. The group will also strengthen its presence in Europe (UK and Sweden) and in Latin America (Costa Rica).
