Vinci: Sherpa case action halted
(CercleFinance.com) - Vinci has said that the prosecutor of the Republic of Nanterre has decided to dismiss the complaint lodged in March 2015 by the association Sherpa against Vinci, a complaint concerning its activities in Qatar.
Vinci said that "it endeavours not only to observe local employment law and fundamental rights, but also to make constant improvements to the working and living conditions of its employees, whether in Qatar or anywhere else in the world."
Vinci also says that it has signed an agreement concerning human rights in the workplace with the Building and Wood Worker's International (BWI) and its subsidiary QDVC, accommodation, fairness of recruitment and workers' rights.
