Vinci: Togo contract

(CercleFinance.com) - The joint-venture made up of Sogea-Satom, LSE (Vinci Construction International Network) and Freyssinet (Vinci Construction) has won the contract for the rehabilitation of the Kpémé wharf, east of Lomé (Togo), as revealed on Thursday afternoon.

In operation since 1961, this wharf is one of the main installations of Societe Nouvelle des Phosphates of Togo which operates the country's phosphate mines. The 1,000-metre-long metal structure enables ore to be loaded onto freighters.

The works notably comprise the rehabilitation of mechanical and electrical aspects that are necessary for the safe operation of the loading machines and to safeguard production (seawater pipelines). In addition they include provisions for the conservation and protection of loading machinery structures (3 dolphins with foundation piles, two machines, connecting bridges, and barge pumps).
