Saint-Gobain: authorisation from US authorities
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announces that Continental Building Products has obtained approval from its shareholders for its acquisition.
The US competition authorities have authorised the deal.
The deal is expected to close on 3 February 2020. At the end of this deal, Saint-Gobain will acquire all of Continental Building Products' shares for 37 dollars each.
This transaction will be carried out as part of a cash transaction representing a total enterprise value of approximately 1.4 billion dollars (about 1.3 billion euros).
Continental Building Products, which is a key player in the plasterboard sector in North America, expects to report 2019 sales of 510 million dollars, with adjusted EBITDA estimated at 130 million dollars, according to the consensus.
