(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announces that it has acquired High Tech Metal Seals (HTMS), a designer and producer of high resistance metal seals for industry, energy and aeronautics, thereby adding to its range of products by offering tailor-made solutions in the sealing industry.
With around 50 emoloyees at its Belgian industrial site, HTMS has developed a unique and differentiating niche positioning that offers very specialised metal sealing solutions, that are intended for conditions of extreme temperatures and pressure.
This acquisition comes as part of the group's strategy of developing technological niches. In particular it will accelerate its growth on the aeronautics market and will benefit from the group's global commercial platform - particularly in Asia.
