Saint-Gobain: completes divestment in South Korea
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announces that on 19 December, it completed the sale of its building glazing activity in South Korea (Hankuk Glass Industries) to the Glenwood Private Equity fund, as part of its strategy to optimise its portfolio.
The sale of this business, which in 2018 reported sales of around 200 million euros for an operating profit of 10 million euros, was made on the basis of an enterprise value of around 240 million euros.
To date the disposals completed or signed represent sales of around 3.3 billion euros. Saint-Gobain is continuing with its divestment policy, even though its initial target of over three billion euros set for the end of 2019, has already been reached.
