Saint-Gobain: divests Glassolutions in Netherlands
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announced on Monday evening that it has sold Glassolutions, its regional glass transformation business in the Netherlands to the German private group Aequita, which is based in Munich.
The Dutch Glassolutions employs around 300 people and has 8 distribution and 4 production sites. Its sales reached approximately 65 million euros in 2018.
"This transaction is part of Saint-Gobain's portfolio optimization strategy within the framework of its new organization. Divestments completed or signed by the Group to date in order to enhance its growth and profitability profile represent sales of over E3.2 billion. Saint-Gobain is continuing its divestment program even though the initial target of over E3 billion in sales divested by the end of the year has already been met," the group said.
