Saint-Gobain: inaugurates new plant in India
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announced late on Monday the inauguration of a new flat glass production line (float) located in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai, India.
These new facilities are built on an industrial site of 70 ha which already includes two floats, two coaters and glass processing units for Building, fire safety and the automotive industry (Sekurit), as well as a line of mirrors.
In particular this flat glass factory manufactures clear glass, tinted and reflective solar control; most of its clients are domestic.
This new facility represents an investment of 115 million euros and complements Saint-Gobain's industrial glass making facilities in India, which also has a float in Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) and another in Jhagadia (Gujurat).
