Saint-Gobain: fits TF1 news set with electrochromic glass
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announces that it has equipped the French national television channel TF1's news platform with electrochromic glasses, inaugurated yesterday by Jean-Pierre Pernaut.
The SageGlass Blue dynamic glass, which tints or lightens as required, while remaining transparent, has been chosen by TF1 to visually enhance its new decor.
The glazing guarantees the blue visual identity of TF1's news programme and differentiates the lunchtime edition at 1 pm, thanks to its clear appearance, from the evening edition at 8 pm, which has a more “tinted” appearance.
"SageGlass is mainly used on building facades. The tint controls the amount of light and heat entering a building while allowing occupants to see outside. It delivers energy savings of up to 40 percent by reducing the need for heating or air-conditioning." the group said.
