Saint-Gobain: acquisition in Germany
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain has announced that it has acquired HKO, a German company specialising in very high temperature thermal insulation systems and fire protection solutions, which are designed to withstand temperatures ranging from 600° C to 1000° C.
Founded in the 1970s, HKO has 225 employees. With two production plants in Germany and sales subsidiaries in France, China and the US, its sales reached 39 million euros in 2017.
This acquisition enables Saint-Gobain to enter the high-temperature thermal insulation market and expand its range of high value-added solutions, while positioning itself as a leader in the European market.
