Saint-Gobain: strengthens positions in Central Europe.
(CercleFinance.com) - After trading on Friday Saint-Gobain announced that it has acquired 90% of the shares of Isoroc Poland and the corresponding brand in Europe.
Already, Saint-Gobain has owned Isoroc Russia and the corresponding brand since 2016.
Isoroc Poland operates a rockwool plant that produces 35,000 tonnes in Nidzica, 160 kilometres north of Warsaw; in 2019 it will open a new line that produces 40,000 tonnes p.a. to provide Germany, Scandinavia, as well as Poland and neighbouring countries.
This entity has joined Saint-Gobain's insulation (building materials) business.
