Saint-Gobain: acquisition in Bavaria.
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announces that it has signed a definitive contract for the acquisition of 100% of the capital of Kirson, the Bavarian manufacturer of reinforcement scrim and combination products based on scrim and nonwoven fabrics.
These solutions principally serve the waterproofing roofing as well as the floor coverings and construction panels markets. Kirson's turnover was 27 million euros in 2016.
This acquisition is fully in line with Saint-Gobain's strategy of consolidating its position in high-performance home solutions. The plan remains subject to the approval of the German competition authorities.
