Veolia: wins wastewater contract with City of Bordeaux
(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia has announced that Bordeaux's Metropolitan Council has awarded Veolia a 7-year contract to manage public sewage treatment and rainwater services, starting on 1 January 2019.
Worth 352 million euros, with expected 37 million euros in investments, it covers the management of six waste water treatment plants and networks of 4,200 km, with a total treatment capacity for a population equivalent of 1.15 million inhabitants.
“Veolia, alongside the City's departments, intends to put a more efficient service in place which is adapted, on the one hand, to take account of demographic and urban developments, and on the other, to respect the environment,” the utilities group stated.
