Veolia: underlying earnings up 4.4% in 2017

(CercleFinance.com) - For 2017, Veolia reported 4.
4% growth in underlying earnings (group share) at 623 million euros (+7.3% adjusted for net capital gains and at constant exchange rates), with EBITDA that is up 2% at 3,284 million euros (+2.7% at constant exchange rates).

The turnover of the utility group reached 25,125 million euros, up 3.9% (+4.9% at constant exchange rates). In particular, the rest of the world (i.e. outside Europe) recorded growth of 11.6% excluding FX factors.

The group's Board of Directors will propose a dividend of 0.84 euro per share for 2017. For 2018, at constant exchange rates, Veolia aims to continue sustained growth in sales and EBITDA that exceeds its level of 2017.
