Veolia: wins wastewater treatment contract in Japan.

(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia, through its local subsidiary and partners, has announced that it has won a call to tender by the Municipality of Hamamatsu, in Japan, to manage part of its wastewater treatment program.

This 20-year contract, which will be effective from early April 2018, covers the operation and maintenance of its infrastructure in Seien, Hamana and Akura. Veolia's combined revenues are estimated at 450 million euros throughout the contract.

The French utility group said that this is the first long-term concession contract in Japan for municipal wastewater treatment, the country's leading asset class in terms of infrastructure.
