Veolia: Nuclear Solutions contract in Canada.
(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia announces that its Nuclear Solutions entity has been contracted by Canadian Nuclear Laboratories to supply a robotic system for collecting and processing radioactive waste for the Whiteshell laboratory located in the province of Manitoba.
“It is in particular Veolia Nuclear Solutions' expertise with the Dounreay site in the UK, where it deploys similar technologies, which has permitted it to win this contract and to enter the Canadian market”, explains the services group.
The Canadian contract is for 5 years. The first two years will be dedicated to the design, manufacture and commissioning stages and the three following years to the operational support of the waste collection and processing system.
