Dassault Aviation: Rafale 'F4' standard launched
(CercleFinance.com) - Dassault Aviation announces that it has received the F4-standard development contract for the Rafale combat aircraft, which is part of the ongoing process to continuously improve the combat aircraft.
Dassault Aviation will be responsible for the implementation of innovative connectivity solutions in order to optimise the aircraft's efficiency (new satellite and intra-patrol links, communication server, software defined radio).
New functions will also be developed to improve the aircraft's capabilities and new weapons will be integrated (e.g. Mica NG air-to-air missile). The F4 standard is expected to be validated in 2024, with several functions available from 2022.
