Dassault Aviation: launches Falcon 6X

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Dassault unveiled the Falcon 6X, a new twin-jet aircraft described as both "spacious, modern and agile".

Capable of travelling over 10,000 kilometres, this aircraft will make its maiden flight in early 2021, with deliveries set to start the following year, the aircraft manufacturer said. It will be equipped with PurePowerTM PW800 engines designed by Pratt & Whitney and will also feature the most advanced digital flight controls and cockpit technologies in the industry, benefiting from the experience of the latest Falcon models and Dassault Aviation's fighter jets.

The 6X will have most of the aerodynamic and system features of the Falcon 5X program, which were validated during the preliminary flight test campaign. It has been optimised to make the most of the new engine, offering an increased autonomy and a longer cabin.
