Colas: invests in French start-up XXII
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Colas announced that it is investing in the French start-up XXII in order to accelerate the use of computer vision in artificial intelligence (AI).
Founded in 2015, XXII has developed a real-time video stream analysis solution called "computer vision", which can be used in the fields of "smart cities" and logistics.
Colas refers to a "promising" technology that is gradually transforming many sectors, which it believes will help it to design innovative offers for its customers and support its operational expertise.
The road infrastructure specialist will participate in the E22m Series "A" financing round launched by the French nugget, alongside Bpifrance, the SNCF investment fund, several business angels and XXII's historical investor, the Duval Group.
